The Southeastern Wildlife Exposition is proud to announce the “Host an Artist Program”
With support from Hyatt Place + Hyatt House Charleston/Historic District and individual donors, SEWE is now able to further support artists who travel from great distances to be in Charleston each February.
Charleston has long supported the arts, and careers have been born through SEWE over the last 33 years. As the popularity of the city and the event has grown, so too have the costs for artists. Our goal is to support these artists through sales of original wildlife art, and we believe easing the financial burden associated with travel and lodging serves that end.
Whether it is flat art crated and shipped from Canada or a trailer filled with sculpture pulled from the west, it is not always easy or inexpensive to move art from the studio to the Fine Art Gallery at Charleston Place.
With contributions from both individuals and businesses SEWE will offset some of these costs beginning with lodging. Artists will receive greatly reduced room rates through the generosity of the host hotel and individual contributions.
To host an artist, individuals or businesses are asked to donate $150.
Donors will receive:
- Special recognition in the SEWE Directory
- Listing on signage in the Charleston Place Ballroom
- A badge/ticket embellishment noting participation
- Anyone participating as a Host who is not already a Patron or Benefactor will receive admittance to Preview Afternoon
Tax Deductible. Southeastern Wildlife Exposition is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization.
